Drawing Aside the Veil

The ability of Freemasonry to keep secrets from the rest of the world is legend. But how well do we communicate them amongst ourselves? What ‘are’ our Masonic secrets? Are they universal? Are they unique to the Craft? When we vow not to communicate our secrets to the profane, precisely what have we sworn not to reveal? When we vow not to communicate masonically with a clandestine Mason, do we fully understand the meaning of that commitment? Most of us are comfortable with the definition of regularity, but how do we define clandestine? Moreover, exactly what is Masonic communication? Isn’t it all readily available on the Internet anyway? Or is it?

Many questions. Many different answers. That’s good! When there’s more than one ‘correct’ answer to the same question the result is often stimulating, thought-provoking discussion. When that discussion takes place in an atmosphere of earnest enquiry and tolerance of others’ opinions, it inevitably leads to enlightenment and personal growth. And that’s the objective of the Masonic Spring Workshop.

Join us in Kananaskis and share in the learning process as together we draw aside the veil.

Stay tuned to these spaces as we will have much more to tell you about this exciting weekend.

BTW, just in case you wondered, our 2008 Keynote Speaker, Christopher Hodapp, was impressed with the Premier Masonic Conference for Rank and File Masons. You can read about it here.
